Emiliano Navarra started his medical school in 1998 at the University of Palermo in Italy, where he graduated in 2005. In the same year he begins his residency in cardiac surgery with prof. G. Ruvolo at Policlinico of Palermo. During his residency he moved in Brussels (Belgium) to accomplish his training and completed a fellowship in “Complex heart valves repair” with prof. G. El Khoury. From 2012 to 2015 he joined, as staff member, the Cliniques Universitaires Mont-Godinne and initiate his experience in robotic cardiac surgery. In 2015 he moved back to Brussels and joined the team of Prof. El Khoury at the Cliniques Universitaires St Luc, where he is currently working. Throughout his cardiac surgery career, he has always cherished a special interest for the heart valves surgery and particularly for mitral valve surgery in conventional or minimal invasive approach. From 2015 he is in charge of the robotic cardiac program with the Prof. Philippe Noirhomme in St. Luc.
